What Do We Offer?
Our programme offers access to work experience, based on your individual employment goals, supported by training and personal development. You can choose to work in motor mechanics, foodservice, gardening, or admin. We can also access our exciting Driving Ambition initiative which gives you free driving lessons and tests on successful completion of your work experience programme.
Our placements provide:
- practical on-the-job experience;
- personal development plan;
- new work-related skills;
- nationally-recognised qualifications;
- an opportunity to become part of a team;
- up to 12 months of work experience; and
- an employer’s reference.
What’s It Like?
You don’t need previous experience to get involved with FST – your manager and colleagues are there to support you. The only thing we ask is that you want to work. Depending on which area you are working in, you could be:
- working with a trained mechanic to service a car;
- preparing food for a customer’s order;
- using power tools to trim a hedge; or
- updating statistics at our centre.
If you live in Lambeth and have been out of work because of mental health issues or other disadvantages, you can sign up for a work placement with FST. To find out more contact FST Lambeth.
