SMaRT garage services has been announced as a winner of the 2014 Business in the Community’s arc advertising campaign competition. The award which aims to promote ‘Buying Social’, comes with a massive advertising boost for SMaRT garage services taking the form of adverts on 29 bus routes across SE London during the whole of November. (www.bitcarc.org.uk/smartgarages). The ads encourage car owners to ‘buy social’ and book their car in to their local SMaRT garage services branch – in Woolwich, Crayford or West Norwood.
Ronnie Wilson MBE, FST CEO, said: “We are delighted to have won the arc Advertising Campaign for 2014. The campaign gives us a real chance to bring SMaRT garage services, and the work we do in developing opportunities for people with mental health problems, to the attention of people and organisations across London.”
SMaRT garage services, which is run by the charity, First Step Trust (FST), provides MOT testing, servicing and vehicle repairs to private and corporate customers as well offering opportunities for local people who are disadvantaged in the workplace, to develop their skills and experience in a commercial environment.
SMaRT garage services workshop manager, Brett Meyer, who appears in the ad, said: “Having spent 15 years in the motor trade before moving to SMaRT I wasn’t sure what to expect from a social enterprise. But it’s the best of both worlds – a highly professional business plus an organisation committed to its local community.”
SMaRT stands for ‘Socially Minded and Responsible Trading™’
SMaRT garage services is offering £25 MOTs to readers of the ad, along with free membership of the Foxy Lady Drivers Club. View SMaRT Bus Ad and flyer
